We appreciate your assistance in applying on behalf of your student. The following are the instructions for completing the application process

1. Students should complete the application form for enrollment and fax a copy of the printed application form. Please make sure that the student includes his/her personal email address on the application form. We will create a space to include yours as well, but we do need to have the student’s unique email address to be able to communicate with the student before, during and after their program at UCR

    

2. Enclose a $200 USD nonrefundable application fee.

   • Payable by Visa or MasterCard if applying online.
   • Applications will NOT be processed without this fee.

    

3. Send a financial statement in English from the student’s or sponsor's bank, or the source of funding.

    

4. Provide a copy of student’s passport photo page.

    

5. If your student is transferring from another U.S. institution, please enclose a copy of the student’s I-20, passport information page, a copy of the front and back of I-94 and a copy of the student's visa.

    

6. If your student is applying for a postgraduate certificate or diploma program he/she must also complete a Candidate Appraisal Form.

    

7. If your student is under 18 years old, he/she must provide a Parental Release Form for emergency medical care and trip participation.

    

8. If your student wishes to reserve a room in campus residences or have a homestay arranged, please complete the appropriate form:

   • Homestay Form
   • Campus Residence Form

    

9. Enclose a $200 USD nonrefundable Residence or Homestay Placement Fee payable by Visa or MasterCard if applying online.

   • Housing will NOT be arranged without this fee.
   • For credit card authorizations, students must complete the Credit Card Authorization Form and fax it to the Office of International Education Programs. E-mail scans of the authorization form will not be accepted.
